These terms cover Reiki sessions booked through this site. Digital items in the shop are covered by the terms there.

Damian Carli, operating as BilanciaAetheralis, a sole trader in Berwick, Victoria. I hold Komyo ReikiDo Shoden, and Second Degree (Okuden) in Reiki Ryoho, Usui System of Natural Healing, completed through Authentic Soul. I carry professional indemnity and public liability insurance for Reiki practice, arranged through Aon and underwritten by CGU.

I am not a licensed healthcare professional.

You must be 18 or over to book. I do not offer sessions to anyone under 18.

I am also unable to offer sessions to people in the United States or its territories, because my insurance does not extend there. I am sorry. It is a limitation of my cover and not a judgement about you.

I offer Reiki, and nothing else.

I do not read, diagnose, remove, clear, cleanse, or advise. If you have come here for any of those, I am not the person, and I would rather say so now than take your booking.

Reiki is a gentle Japanese practice. I offer it in the following forms.

At a distance:

• The time you book is the time I hold for you. At that time I sit with your name in mind, open, offer Reiki for the length of the session, and close. That window is yours.

• You do not need to be anywhere in particular. There is no call to join and nobody to meet. Sit quietly at that time if you wish, or carry on with your day. Nothing is required of you.

In a group:

• A group session is one window held for everyone who signed up, at the same time. I hold the list of first names and offer Reiki for the length of the session.

• It is not individual attention and I would not describe it as such. There is no assessment of any individual person, no separate portion of the session for each name, and no individual feedback afterwards. If you want individual attention, book an individual session.

• Everyone on the list must have put themselves there. I do not accept names submitted on someone else's behalf.

• The recording is sent to everyone who signed up. Your name is not shared with other participants and the list is not published.

I do not direct it and I do not promise a particular result.

I record the session and send it to you within 48 hours.

To be clear about what it is: the Reiki happens in the time I hold. The recording is the record of that, not a store of Reiki that re-delivers on each play, and I would not claim that of it. It is yours to keep, for your own use.

Your payment does not purchase Reiki itself. Universal life force energy is not mine to sell.

Your payment covers my time, my preparation, and my full attention for the length of the session.

By booking, you are giving your consent for me to hold that session for you. That consent is yours to give and yours to withdraw at any time before the session, by emailing me.

You can only consent for yourself. Please do not book a session on behalf of anyone else. If someone else wants a session, they can book it themselves, and that matters more than the convenience of it.

Your name, which is what I hold during the session.

Your email, so I can send you the recording.

A photo is optional. Some practitioners use one as a focus. It is not necessary and the session is no less complete without it. Send one only if you want to.

The photo, if you send one, is deleted once the session is complete.

Your booking record, name and email are held by Cal.com, my scheduling provider, and appear in my Google Calendar. Paid bookings also create a payment record held by Stripe. Those systems hold that data under their own terms, and I cannot delete it from all of them by hand. What I can tell you is that I do not sell it, share it, or add you to anything you did not ask for.

If you join the mailing list, that is a separate choice and you can leave any time.

If you want your details removed as far as I am able, email me and I will do it.

You can reschedule or cancel through the link in your booking confirmation, any time up to the session.

If you cancel a paid session more than 24 hours before, I refund it in full. Inside 24 hours, I have already set that time aside and turned other things down for it, so I keep the fee. If something genuinely difficult has happened, email me anyway. I would rather be flexible than rigid.

If I need to cancel, which happens occasionally because I am a parent of small children, I will offer you another time or a full refund, whichever you prefer.

Because a session is my time held for you, I do not offer refunds once a session has been held.

This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If I do not hold the session, do not send you the recording, or the session is not what I have described here, you are entitled to a remedy. Email me and I will sort it out properly.

Reiki is a complementary practice. It is not:

• medical advice

• psychological treatment

• a diagnosis

• a substitute for licensed care of any kind

Please keep seeing whoever you see. If something is wrong, see a doctor. Nothing here replaces that, and I would not want it to.

I make no promise about what you will or will not experience. Reiki lands differently for different people, and sometimes it does not land at all. Whatever you notice is yours. Whatever you do not notice is not a failing on your part.

These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia.

I may update them from time to time. The terms that apply to your session are the ones on this page when you book.
