Code of Conduct and Complaints

Reiki is not a registered profession in Australia. That does not mean it is unregulated.

As a general health service provider in Victoria, I am bound by the General Code of Conduct set out in Schedule 2 of the Health Complaints Act 2016. It has been law since February 2017 and it applies to me whether or not I choose to mention it.

In short, it requires that I practise safely and ethically, that I do not mislead you about what I offer or what I am qualified to do, that I never discourage you from seeking other health care, that I keep proper records, and that I act properly if something goes wrong.

You can read the full code at the Health Complaints Commissioner's website.

If you are unhappy with anything. Please tell me first if you feel able to. I would rather know. You can write to me at bilanciaaetheralis@gmail.com and I will respond.

You do not have to come to me first. You can complain directly to the Health Complaints Commissioner at any time, about any Victorian health service provider including me. They can be reached at hcc.vic.gov.au or on 1300 582 113.

Complaints can be made anonymously.

I would rather you had this information and never needed it than the other way round.
